A new song from Ovadia Hamma's studio, from a new album on the way.

This is a war album that was written, recorded, and released around the Simchat Torah riots of 1944 - and what preceded them in the Israeli public in the past year.

Hamma says: "This is a central song in the album that encapsulates the broader picture behind the October 7 riots. In retrospect, it is impossible to deny the connection between the rift that tore through the nation and the terrorist organization that recognized the moment of opportunity.".

""100 days of judgment since that Sabbath: At first, the cannons thundered and the muses fell silent. All religious and artistic consciousness was mobilized to give and strengthen the evacuees, the wounded, and the soldiers. Slowly, with the necessary perspective, creativity awakens, questions are asked, and insights are formed. There is a need, and now also an ability, to express the darkness and the light that emerged from the darkness, in words and melodies that were collected and slowly formed during those truly terrible days.".

Was it in the joy of Torah, the black year?
I remember there was still a great deal of commotion, over the separation.
And then, without a sign, the gates of hell were opened.
Permission to destroy was granted, a Jewish soul was tormented.

And we are still waiting for the miracle to come.
And may he overcome the nightmare in which our world is founded.
I saw a people of youth, all enveloped in light.
I saw a miracle that was taking place, above the point of no return.

So what now?! Starting from scratch
We understand that we are not alone, a people like all peoples.
Readers of the Torah from the beginning,
And with new eyes, before the entrances
And there is no one who receives and no one who escapes
Because we are the enemy of the ultimate evil!

Ovadia Hamma, the creator, draws inspiration from everything that happens in his world. To date, he has written dozens of songs in various projects, in all of which his life can be experienced with words, melody, and emotion that describe with great accuracy what is happening in his soul.

Do you recognize that your child is very talented? Boost him/her with courses for the ultra-Orthodox?

This is not the first time he has carved poignant words from his soul. The role of the title, which proves what happened in Israeli society during the separation and the cover-up, was already expressed in the previous song "Light in the Darkness," which was released a few days after the 1944 disaster.

And as in the past, almost a tradition: Hamma gathers around him the most talented musicians to present the new song to listeners with a proper, exciting, and gut-kicking production.
