It is amazing to see over and over again people who define themselves as moral and loving people, yet they are stuck in a perception that never ceases to give rise to evil, wickedness, and suffering. If you even suggest to them that they think in more logical directions, they will reject any such idea out of hand, because they are completely captive to the collapsing concept.
Anyone familiar with the history of the Gaza Strip understands that this is a problem that cannot be solved without drastic measures. The Egyptians, who ruled the Strip until the Six-Day War, did not want to take it back when the Camp David Accords were signed. They knew full well what a hornet's nest it was.
What does the future hold for them?
Terrorism and hatred have been entrenched in this Strip for seventy years. It has always been a factory for terrorism and hatred of Israel. There is constant talk of a civilian population and the 'uninvolved,' but our forces are now discovering in almost every home how deeply involved this population is in terror.
This is education in kindergartens, schools and universities. Almost every home is a warehouse of weapons and explosives. We saw clearly the joy and jubilation of the 'innocent' residents upon hearing the news of the Simchat Torah massacre.
This situation gives us full legitimacy to treat this population as accomplices to terrorism. They are not innocent, but rather condone a crime. Just as it is clear to us that justice requires that terrorists and those who send them be brought to justice, the population that educates for terrorism, encourages terrorism, and assists terrorism should also receive its punishment, and we should have no qualms about this.
But beyond the aspect related to us – let's think about what is right for this population and its future. If we leave it in the Strip, we are effectively sealing its fate for more years of wallowing in evil and hatred and education to kill. The children of Gaza will be educated to kill and be killed, and will be victims of the fanatical Islamic preachers, who will preach to them that the highest value is to kill Jews and become a 'martyr.'.
Is it moral to leave them there, to live a life of misery and hatred? Is it right to let children grow up next to landmines, missiles, and grenades? Can the consciences of moral people live at peace with the images of baby cribs with weapons and explosives hidden in them?
Get out of the concept.
Anyone who is not bound by a distorted concept will agree that removing this population from the Strip, and giving them the opportunity to start a new life in other places in the world, is a salvation for them. There, there is a chance that the children of Gaza will attend normal schools, learn a productive profession, and become healthy people in adulthood, who aspire to live peaceful lives and raise children for a life of construction and creativity. So in the name of what morality do they attack anyone who makes such suggestions, as if they were the enemy of humanity?
Over the years, various solutions to the Gaza Strip problem have been tried, and each time the fantasies have been shattered before our eyes. Some believed that after leaving the Gaza Strip to the last meter, the Gazans would invest the enormous resources the world had given them in developing the region and building a life of construction and prosperity. Now everyone can see where these resources have gone – into tunnels, missile launchers, and building an army of despicable murderers.
The conclusion is so clear and obvious. Just get out of the concept!
