Baruch Dayan, the truth teller: At the Shaarei Tzedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, the benevolent Rabbi Meir Wiener, z"l, founder of the "Friends" organization, of the Karlin-Stolin Hasidim in Modi'in Illit, passed away on Saturday, at the age of 43. A week ago, he collapsed and was hospitalized in serious condition, and today he passed away to the sorrow of his family and many friends. The deceased z"l was born on 2 Iyar 5780 to his father, the educator Rabbi Yochanan Wiener, a prominent Karlin-Stolin Hasidim, and his mother, Mrs. Liba Breindel. His grandfather was the Rev. Rabbi Shmuel Zvi Wiener zt"l, rabbi of the Karlin-Stolin Hasidim synagogue in Jerusalem. In his youth, he studied at the Karlin Talmud Torah and the Karlin Yeshiva. After his marriage, he lived in Modi'in Illit, where he managed "Shehkol" in the Brachfeld neighborhood for his living. He later founded the charity organization "Friends," which provides "first aid" in all non-medical fields - 24 hours a day. The organization assists in repairing punctures and various malfunctions in vehicles, at home and on the road, in opening locked vehicles, opening house doors and rescuing people from elevators. The deceased, z"l, was a charitable man who always worked for the benefit of the community. In the past year, he moved to live on level 4 in Beit Shemesh. Last Sunday, he did not feel well and called an ambulance, after feeling pain in his chest. During the evacuation to the hospital, he collapsed and underwent prolonged resuscitation. He was taken to Sha'arei Tzedek in Jerusalem, where he immediately underwent catheterization. Many prayed for his complete recovery in the past week. However, due to a heart attack on Shabbat, he passed away. His funeral will leave at 10:00 PM from Shamgar to Har Hamunuchot in Jerusalem.
