Meir Wiener, founder of the Friends organization, collapsed this morning (Sunday) and was hospitalized at Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem in serious condition.
Wiener collapsed after complaining of severe chest pain.
The rescue forces that were called provided him with initial medical treatment and evacuated him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. During the journey, he collapsed and underwent prolonged CPR.

Upon arrival at the hospital, he was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
At the hospital, Wiener underwent catheterization.
He is sedated and ventilated.
His family and friends asked for prayers for his recovery.
His name for prayer: Meir ben Liba Briindel.
