In the footage from the moment of the assassination, the fighters are seen surrounding the terrorist squad that was in the vehicle. The fighters surprised the terrorists and killed them before they even left the Palestinian city.
Security forces located two M16 weapons in the area that were used by the squad.
In recent months, the Shin Bet has located a terrorist infrastructure that was based in the Tulkarm refugee camp and was responsible for carrying out dozens of shooting attacks in the region against Israeli targets.
The infrastructure operated under the guidance and funding of operatives from the Gaza Strip and abroad on behalf of the terrorist organization Hamas and other organizations. The terrorists received hundreds of thousands of shekels to fuel terrorist activity.

As part of the supervision of the infrastructure terrorists, activities were identified in arming, equipping themselves with weapons, promoting explosive device attacks, intentions to shoot at high speed, recruiting terrorists, and intentions to send terrorists to Israel's rear.
Border Guard Commander, Superintendent Brick Yitzhak praised the forces' activity: "The combined efforts of our forces, in conjunction with the intelligence information of the General Security Service, prove once again that it is the equalizer in the fight against terrorism. We will continue to act with strength and determination together with the security agencies to maintain the security of citizens and the state, proud of our fighters who defend the homeland with their bodies.".
A military source said: "The assassination expresses the rise in the Central Command's standing vis-à-vis the terrorists of the Hamas-Daesh terrorist organization. Anyone who even thinks of harming civilians or our forces, we will reach out to and bring them to account. We have a wide range of tools, there will be no cities of refuge for terrorists.".
