Today, 59% of all plastic bottles produced and marketed in Israel are recycled. On average, each Israeli recycles approximately 1.26 kg of family bottles per year, which is approximately 30 family beverage bottles.
Regarding containers that require a deposit fee: In Israel, approximately 600 million deposit bottles were recycled in the past year, representing 801 million of the beverage containers sold in Israel.
