The investigation into the difficult incident last night in Tulkarm reveals that the fighters who were injured in the operation in Tulkarm were hit by a grenade explosion that one of the fighters threw - and it hit the gate that stood between them and the terrorists and thus returned to them.

The company commander managed to kick the grenade away, thus apparently preventing him and his fighters from being killed.

Palestinian social media is circulating images of military equipment allegedly taken from the forces operating in the camp.

Dr. Alon Nabat, deputy director of Beilinson Hospital, updated on the condition of two of the injured. "Two injured people from the Tulkarm incident arrived at the hospital's trauma room - one injured in light condition, the other injured person in serious condition and is currently in the operating room.".

Two Border Police soldiers were evacuated to the trauma room at Meir Medical Center this morning. The hospital said: "One injured person is in critical condition and is currently in the operating room where the teams are fighting for his life. The other injured person, who is in mild to moderate condition, is being treated by the team in the surgical emergency room.".

It was later reported that Meir Hospital managed to stabilize the condition of the soldier who was evacuated in critical condition, and his condition is now defined as serious but stable and his life is not in danger.

Laniado Hospital in Netanya reported that a fighter who was brought to the scene is being treated in an operating room and his condition is described as serious but stable.

Border Guard Commander Brig.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu: "I send my best wishes for a speedy recovery to the Border Guard soldiers who were injured last night in an operational activity in Tulkarm. The IDF and the security forces will continue to act with courage and determination to purge the nests of terrorists in Judea and Samaria. We see Iran as directly responsible for the wave of terrorism in Judea and Samaria, for encouraging and financing murderous acts against Israeli citizens. The Israeli government will resolutely fight terrorism and protect Israeli citizens.".

Shortly after the incident, terrorists opened fire from a vehicle toward the settlement of Avnei Hefetz in Samaria. There were no casualties. An IDF force from the Golani Patrol pursued the car with the squad, and during the arrest attempt, an exchange of fire ensued and two terrorists were killed. There were no casualties among the soldiers.

The IDF said that "Golani Patrol fighters who were on duty near the village of Shufa in the Menashe Brigade neutralized two armed terrorists who had previously fired at an Israeli vehicle. Following the report received of firing at the Israeli vehicle, the forces blocked roads in the area and identified the suspect vehicle. The fighters attempted to make contact and after an exchange of fire neutralized them. An M-16 weapon and cartridges used by the terrorists were found in the vehicle.".
