A two-month-old baby lost consciousness in the Bnei Brak Kupah area this afternoon (Sunday) and was taken to the hospital in critical condition - where she died.
The baby, Ayala Tzaraf, daughter of Yael and Rabbi Israel Tzaraf of Bnei Brak, is the granddaughter of the "Metzhak HaRavim" (Benefactor of the Rabbis), the Gaon Rabbi Yigal Cohen, head of the "Yabia Omer" institutions in Bnei Brak.
The baby suddenly lost consciousness in the health center, and from there she was taken to the "Ma'ani Hayeshua" Medical Center - where, unfortunately, the medical team had no choice but to declare her dead.
Her funeral will take place this evening at 8:45 PM at the Elad Cemetery.
The rescue forces that were called to the scene immediately began prolonged CPR on the baby. She was evacuated - while CPR continued - to Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital.
Paramedics Benzi Himel and Arashi Deutsch, who arrived first at the scene, said: "When we arrived at the scene with a rescue ambulance, they brought us a two-month-old baby girl who was unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing.
""Together with rescue and MDA paramedics and paramedics, we immediately began advanced resuscitation operations, which included heart massage, CPR, and administering life-saving medications, and she was evacuated while continuing resuscitation operations to the shock room at Mayanei Hayeshua Hospital in the city.".
