In his Facebook post, Baruch wrote: "At an auspicious time, a brother was born to Amit Ben Yigal.".
The baby was born at the Meir Medical Center - which published a post: "This morning we were privileged to be partners and experience an incomparable moving moment with Daniela and Baruch Ben-Yigael, with the birth of their son here in our delivery rooms at the Meir Medical Center.".
Baruch said: "For me, it is a closing of a circle to arrive here accompanied by Prof. Amir Wieser, whose son - an officer in the Golani Patrol - was next to my colleague when he fell. I longed for the moment when I would tell my colleague that he had a brother, and here we have reached this special moment. I want to thank the entire team at Meir Medical Center who accompanied us throughout the process with the most professional hands and with the warmest hearts. Who kept us alive and sustained us and brought us to this time.".
Sergeant Amit Ben Yigal, 21, was killed by a stone thrown at his head from a roof while leaving the village of Ya'ved more than three years ago.
About two weeks ago, Baruch remarried to Daniela Apriat. In a post he posted online hours before the wedding, he wrote: "I'm starting to understand that this is real. I got to fulfill Amit's will. He must be pleased and happy for us.".
