Expanding the circles of activity: A new initiative in the Ministry of Religious Services in the field of support for cultural events in religious councils is underway.

Riddle: Which flavor of 'Milky' delicacy is the best-selling after 40 years?

The project will allow religious councils to make Judaism accessible to Israeli citizens in a positive light and to participate in Selichot tours, Simchat Beit Hashoeva, Hoshana Rabbah learning events, and second rounds.

As part of the 2023 budget, the ministry supports Torah cultural activities designed to bring hearts closer and bring the joy of the holiday and its customs to all citizens of Israel. The religious councils will be responsible for the activities, and for this purpose, the Ministry of Religious Services has allocated a budget of approximately 6 million shekels, which will assist the religious councils in their activities for the citizens of Israel.

A review of the support tests indicates that the activity will include Selichot tours, Simchat Beit Hashoeva, Hoshana Rabbah, and second rounds.

The activities are intended for the general public, some for a nominal fee and some for free.

Minister of Religious Services, MK Michael Malchieli: "As part of my worldview, it is important to advance religious services and make them accessible to the citizens of Israel. The budgetary policy that I am leading, the support funds will be used by the religious councils to illuminate the world of Judaism. This is good news for the citizens of Israel. The ministry's policy is to place the citizen at the center and provide him with good and accessible religious services. This is how we acted in the field of religious structures and this is how we operate in the field of Torah culture.".

Director General of the Ministry of Religious Services, Yehuda Avidan: "Support for cultural events in religious councils is an integral part of the ministry's activities, and this support joins the extensive support for religious buildings, such as the renovation and construction of mikvahs.".
