Inflation slows: July index rose by 0.31%, housing prices fell by 0.21%

Inflation is slowing down: The Consumer Price Index was published today (Tuesday), and according to the data, it rose in July by 0.31% - slightly less than expected. Rent continued to soar for tenants whose tenants changed, climbing 9% in July. For tenants who renewed their leases, an increase of 3.8% was recorded. In the breakdown by districts, the following price changes were recorded: Jerusalem (0.3%), North (0.5%), Haifa (0.5%), Center (0.0%), Tel Aviv (-1.3%) and South (0.0%). The price of new apartments decreased by 0.6% and, on an annual basis, apartment prices increased by 5.2% between May to June in 2022, compared to this year.
