Tel Aviv restaurateurs announced that they will open their businesses as usual tonight (Wednesday), the eve of the Tisha B'Av fast, some of them "as a sign of protest" against the law to abolish the reason for reasonableness that passed the Knesset - and, as expected, caused a storm.

MK Matan Kahane from the state camp responded to the intention of restaurant owners who decided not to honor the fast on the eve of Tisha B'Av and to operate as usual: "I ask restaurant owners who plan to open on Tisha B'Av not to do so.

""Tisha B'Av marks the terrible internal rift that led to the discovery that only 75 years ago we recovered from. I ask you to rise above the desire to take revenge on the government for the divisive path it is leading us. Do not play into the hands of the extremist elements who are trying to drag us into further destruction.".

Government Advertising Bureau Director Moriah Shalom responded on Facebook: "Well done!!! You screwed the religious, you showed them what it's like. 'We will feed our people even on T'Bav!!!' the chef exclaimed because this is the real protest! Yours is awesome!"

""What do you want your children to grow up with??? What is their history? What is their legacy? Who exactly are you screwing over??????".

Celebrities and social media personalities also came out against the provocation. One of them, Adele Baspalov, who was exposed to the news last night, harshly attacked the decision in a story on her Instagram account, accusing the restaurateurs of deepening the already difficult conflict in Israeli society these days.

""Ugh, disgusting!!!", she cried from the text against a background of a picture from the report. "The situation in our country is not good anyway, why ignite more and more and make it even worse?""

Bespalov was not the only one who came out against the move. Celebrity Natalie Dadon also wrote: "I stood in front of the Holy Ark in Budapest, full of emotions from what we have been through here as a people, and a moment later I see this news: 'Restaurants in Tel Aviv announce the opening of restaurants on the eve of Tisha B'Av.' For a long time I have been praying that my feelings will turn out to be imaginary, that I will discover that there is really no war against Judaism here.

""Have we forgotten why we needed this house that we are currently destroying? Don't pollute any good land. Please, enough!""

According to the law prohibiting the opening of entertainment venues on Tisha B'Av, it is determined that restaurants, bars and any place defined as an eating place will be closed on the eve of Tisha B'Av, so business owners who do not comply with the order are expected to receive a report. "Notwithstanding the provisions of any law, a local authority shall be authorized to enact a by-law that prohibits holding public entertainment on the day of mourning or opening eating places on the night of the day of mourning, from the beginning of the mourning until sunrise the next day," the law states.

The law also grants local authorities the authority to appoint inspectors who will be tasked with enforcing the law and will fine violators 2,600 new shekels.
