According to reports from city residents, explosions were heard non-stop throughout the night. "We only hear booms, booms, booms," one resident described. "The whole city is shaking," said Chabad emissary, rabbi of the city and southern Ukraine, Rabbi Avraham Wolf. "We had a hard night. The whole city is in shelters. It's the first time that there have been so many people in our parking lot. All the residents of the building went downstairs." Rabbi Wolf and his wife, Rebbetzin Chaya, operate the 'Mishpaha' orphanage, and they have a lot of responsibility on their shoulders. "We immediately took all the orphans out to the protected area. We are doing what we can," said Rabbi Wolf. "Our counselors and professionals are doing everything they can to calm the orphans.
