An ultra-Orthodox resident of District 7 in Ashdod who visited one of the health insurance companies in District 5 yesterday (Sunday) was subjected to a barrage of yelling and insults from a secular woman.
""I entered the branch with my 10-year-old son for a check-in and went to the terminal to issue a ticket," he told the Ashdods website. "An unknown woman in her fifties arrived behind me and claimed that 'I passed her.'.
""I happily allowed her to approach me, but she chose to filter out 'they think they deserve everything'. I asked her 'who are they'? In response, she started to attack me, screaming: 'Get out of here, get out of here'..."'
The man was silent, but his son had a hard time remaining calm. "My son looked at her with teary eyes and couldn't believe that something like this could happen in the State of Israel. 'Why is she screaming like that? What did we do to her,' he asked me. But I chose to refrain.
""The security guard there saw that I was in distress and told me that this was a problematic woman who screams at everyone and now she has chosen to tarnish the Haredi public.
""But I felt great shame, especially in light of the fact that everyone present around me didn't lift a finger to stop the great embarrassment.".
