200 grams of chocolate
250 grams butter
3 eggs, separated
½ cup sugar
250 grams (1 cup) white cheese 9%
2 cups milk
4 tablespoons sugar
1 package of Barilla lasagna sheets
For coating:
200 grams of dark chocolate
1/2 cup sweet cream
A handful of chopped caramelized nuts (candied cashews or candied almonds)
1. Melt butter and chocolate and mix until smooth. Cool slightly.
2. Add egg yolks one at a time and beat well.
3. Add cheese and mix until smooth.
4. Beat egg whites and sugar until stiff and glossy.
5. Fold the egg whites into the chocolate mixture.
6. Bring milk and sugar to a boil, add 1 cup of water and cook the lasagna sheets for about 5 minutes (gently, separating the sheets).
7. Drain and immediately begin building the lasagna. Arrange a layer of pasta sheets in a rectangular pan.
8. Pour 1/3 of the cream and arrange another layer of lasagna on top.
9. Pour another 1/3 of the cream and so on to create three layers.
10. Prepare the topping: Bring the heavy cream to a boil, add the chocolate chips and simmer for a few minutes. Stir until smooth and glossy - and pour over the lasagna.
11. Cool thoroughly, cut into rectangles or squares, sprinkle with a generous layer of candied nuts before serving and serve.
