Prof. Yaron Zelicha addressed this morning (Monday) the implications of the legal reform to strengthen democracy on the Israeli economy in general and the increase in the credit rating in particular.

""It's as if there are people praying that Israel's economy will be damaged," Zelicha claimed in a conversation with Erel Segal and Haim Levinson on 103FM radio - and explained: "In a credit rating report, they mark all the potential risks and then do an analysis of their possible impact on the credit rating, and that comes down to a forecast for the coming year - our forecast is stable.".

He said, "The reform is too important for us to talk in the language of fools. I too have criticism, but on the other hand, we will not deny the very necessity of the reform.".

He added: "What bothers me most is the blindness of the leftist camp that the legal system is dysfunctional - we have wonderful competition laws, but they are emptied of all content in the courts.".
