Minister of Jerusalem and Israeli Tradition, Minister Meir Porush, addressed this evening the speech by President Yitzhak Herzog - who called for stopping the legislation on legal reform and entering into a dialogue around it.

""When Herzog is only bothered when there are no judges of Mizrahi origin, and is not bothered by the fact that there is no representation of Haredi judges in the court, even though 3 months ago more than 700,000 such citizens over the age of 18 voted - then we are bothered.".

President Herzog said in his speech: "The judiciary must be a home for the diversity of opinions in Israeli society. The fact that there is not enough diversity, for example, that there are no judges of Mizrahi origin in the Supreme Court, is very disturbing to me.".
