Rebbetzin Tzipora Lau, wife of Chief Rabbi Grat "D" Lau, was released this morning (Monday) to her home after a prolonged period of hospitalization at the Tel Hashomer Medical Center - where she arrived after a stroke she suffered during the Passover Shabbat in Kiryat Shmona.
The rabbi was flown in an emergency from Crete to Israel during Shabbat night, with an intensive care team assigned to the plane that cared for the rabbi throughout the flight until she was brought to and admitted to the hospital.
She underwent several treatments and many around the country and around the world offered prayers for her recovery.
In recent months, the Rebbetzin's condition has improved against all doctors' estimates. "It was clear that the prayers of the Jewish people, which were offered from all over the world, had an effect of God's grace," the rabbi's office says.
This morning, the rabbi and rebbetzin came to the Western Wall to thank for the great miracles and to pray for the future. "The Chief Rabbi and his family would like to personally thank everyone who took the time to pray for the rabbi's recovery and would like to continue praying for the recovery of Figa Tzipora bat Hadassah for her speedy full recovery.
""The Chief Rabbi and his family thank the dedicated teams at Linson and Tel Hashomer hospitals for their extremely dedicated care throughout the past few months.".
The rabbi's office further stated: "The rabbi was indeed released from the hospital after a great improvement in her condition, but at the same time, the road to full recovery is still long and many more prayers are needed.".
