Officers from the Sharon police station were called to the apartment following a call received at the Central District's 100 hotline, during which a Sharon resident called and asked to "order a pizza.".
The police officer at the 100 hotline immediately realized that this was a woman in distress and therefore had a professional conversation with her, including using terms like "pizza toppings" for safe questioning to understand the situation and the level of danger she faced, while conducting the questioning sensitively.
The operator asked if anyone was threatening her, and the woman replied, "Yes, I'm with a friend." She was then asked if the person threatening her was still at home, to which she replied, "Yes, with olives and corn.".
The policewoman immediately dispatched officers to the woman's address, who arrived within minutes and arrested the suspect - 30 years old.
After his interrogation on suspicion of assault and threats, he was imprisoned.
In accordance with the needs of the investigation, the suspect's detention was extended, following a hearing in the Petah Tikva District Court, until tomorrow.
