The children's choir "Zingrelich", conducted by Zeev Philip, who has recently broken into the world of Hasidic music, and Uncle Kalisch, joined hands to produce - a thrilling and moving single "Have mercy on me, O God, for I am afflicted; heal me, O God, for I have been afraid of myself", with a melody by educator and composer Rabbi Pinchas Breyer, known for his captivating hits.
The children's choir, conducted by Zeevi Philip, brings real news in the field of music in general, and in children's choirs in particular, as anyone who hears the color of the voice and the sweet singing immediately realizes that this is something different.
The single was arranged and orchestrated by maestro Dodi Kalisch, who even sang his own solo, with the background vocals of the 'Narnana' choir.
This melody was first sung last year, during the lighting of the first candle of Hanukkah in the Belza courtyard. The Rebbe requested that this melody be heard every day immediately after the lighting of the candles, and as a result, Kalisch, together with Zeev Philip, made the decision to release this melody in preparation for Hanukkah.
The song is also presented in a moving and touching lyric video, which actually highlights what has been happening to the world in recent years, when everything around seems gloomy and dark. We, as believing Jews, believe that everything is for the best and that the people of Israel have emerged from darkness into great light.
