And what will the factions recommend?
Well, against the backdrop of the right-wing bloc's big victory and the disintegration of the center-left bloc, the final result is clear in advance: only the Yesh Atid and Labor factions plan to recommend Yair Lapid to the president, so he will win only 28 recommendations, while Netanyahu will win 64 recommendations.

On behalf of the State Camp faction, Minister Pnina Tamano Sheta, Minister Ze'ev Elkin, and MK Eitan Ginzburg will arrive tomorrow to make a recommendation to the President. State Camp Chairman Benny Gantz decided that in light of the election results, the faction will not recommend a candidate for prime minister to the President.
Yisrael Beiteinu, Hadash - Ta'al and Ra'am will also not vote for any candidate.
According to custom, the president will meet with representatives of the factions, hear their recommendations, and after completing the round of consultations with all factions, he will announce the Knesset member who will be tasked with forming the government.
From the moment the President assigns the task of forming a government to the elected Knesset member, he will have 28 days, according to the Basic Law: The Government, to form a new government in Israel. In a situation where an extension to the process is required, the President of the State has the authority to grant an additional extension of up to 14 additional days according to the law.

As with every round of consultations, a large media center will be set up at the President's residence. Faction leaders who wish to make an official statement to the media will do so immediately after the meeting with the President at the media center, where all the necessary technical means will be available to journalists and staff.
