Upon receiving the report, volunteers were rushed to the scene, who identified the suspect who broke open the store door and entered.
During the suspect's detention by the volunteers, he tried to escape from the scene - but without success.
It should be noted that last Saturday night, a burglary had already occurred at the same store, but in light of the fact that the organization's volunteers do not patrol on Saturdays, the suspects managed to steal and cause extensive damage to the owner.
The suspect, 44 years old, a resident of Kiryat Shmona, with a criminal record - identified as a serial thief who commits numerous burglaries in the city - was detained at the scene until patrol officers from the Dan Regional Police arrived, who took him in for further investigation.
A decision will later be made whether to bring him before a judge to extend his detention.
