At the initiative of Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon, a magnificent cultural center was inaugurated, the first of its kind in the Haredi sector, in the heart of the Haredi neighborhood in the Ramot area of Jerusalem, with an unprecedented investment of huge budgets allocated to the project by the Jerusalem Municipality.

The plan to establish a cultural center for the Haredi sector came into effect after years of deprivation and discrimination against the Haredi population in all matters relating to the field of culture.

Now, by order of Mayor Leon, and in accordance with the direction of the rabbis and representatives of the Haredi public, it has been decided to correct the historical distortion and provide a response to the Haredi community on the matter as well.

As expected in such a sensitive issue, Leon worked with the rabbis to ensure that the boundaries of spirituality and holiness were maintained in the new hall, which will also be used as a hall for "Chomash Seuda" parties, public exams for the Hebrew Bible, boutique events for educational and charitable institutions, and the like.

Additionally, cultural performances, plays, and ceremonies dedicated to the purity of the Holy Land will be held at the venue.

The hall, which was inaugurated in recent days with the participation of rabbis and public figures, was designed in a luxurious and innovative style and includes approximately 600 seats, a magnificent stage, sophisticated equipment, modern lighting and high-quality amplification systems.

Alongside the activities of Leon and the Haredi representatives for the establishment of the Cultural Center, the activities of Ariela Rajwan, the Deputy Director General and Head of the Culture and Recreation Administration in the Jerusalem Municipality, also stood out. Needless to say, the place will be run according to all the rules of halakhah, and for this purpose, an Haredi educator has even been appointed to stand guard over all matters concerning the ongoing conduct of the place.

This is great news for the thousands of Haredi families living in the neighborhood, as alongside the great revolution in the field of education, in which hundreds of new classrooms have been recently established, a unique cultural corner is also being developed, which includes, in addition to the new hall, a huge country club intended for the Haredi public, built to the highest standard, alongside a separate fitness center for health and leisure needs.

Mayor Moshe Leon: "It's exciting to see the dream come true. When we set out with the project, we had one goal in mind - to provide a clean and appropriate cultural experience for the masses of Haredi families in the capital of Israel. This is one step, among many, for the benefit of the Haredi population in Jerusalem, which in the past year has witnessed a tremendous educational revolution, a huge infrastructure revolution, and now, a cultural revolution the likes of which have never been seen in the Haredi community.".
