IDF and Shin Bet forces arrested during Yom Kippur a terrorist suspected of involvement in the shooting attack against an Israeli bus and taxi near Nablus last Sunday.

The wanted man, Salman Amran, 35, a resident of the village of Deir al-Khattab, is affiliated with the terrorist organization "Lions Den." He has previously served time in an Israeli prison, and is also associated with a Hamas infrastructure that planned attacks against Israelis.

Following precise intelligence information from the Shin Bet, IDF fighters surrounded the suspect's house. The terrorist locked himself in his house and fired at the forces outside the house, and the forces fired at the house and used special measures that included grenades and the use of a bulldozer, which began to collapse the house.

As a result of the wanted man's shooting at IDF forces, the wanted man's brother was injured while he was outside the house.

After the exchange of fire, the wanted man surrendered and turned himself in to IDF soldiers at the scene. The wanted man and the M-16 weapon he used were transferred to the General Security Service for further investigation.

Also, during the activity in the village, IDF forces were fired upon from several locations. The forces responded by firing at the sources of the firing, several hits were identified on the militants, and one terrorist was killed as a result of the forces' fire.

The IDF and Shin Bet note that "there is a known claim about two media personnel who were present in the combat zone and were injured, it is unknown as to what the result was. It should be emphasized that the presence of uninvolved civilians in combat zones poses a real danger to life.".
