A shake-up in the Likud campaign less than two months before the elections: Less than 48 hours after being appointed as a special advisor to Netanyahu, strategic advisor Moshe Klughaft has given up the role and is leaving the campaign. This was reported by Amit Segal on Channel 12. According to the report, the departure occurred due to "opposition from foreign elements." According to Amit Segal, "'Foreign elements' is a strong allusion to Yair Netanyahu, who has recently been abroad." Klughaft announced on his Instagram page: ""Thank you to Netanyahu for the offer to return and work with him. Half a day after the announcement issued by the Likud, I was informed that there was opposition from foreign elements and the appointment would be delayed. I will not enter wars and I am giving up the role before I even started." He added: "Returning to clients in Israel and abroad and to commentary, I will continue to be a friend to everyone, on the right and the left, and I am proud of it. Maybe I have grown old and become colorblind, but we are here together. "At most, a song will come out of it." According to the allegations, Yair Netanyahu cast a hermetic veto on the appointment and informed all senior campaign officials of this. The reason, according to Amit Segal: "Last Saturday, backstage at Aviv Gefen's concert at Ganei Yehoshua, Klughaft and Benny Gantz met, probably by chance, and had a long and friendly conversation, perhaps too friendly. It got to where it got and probably brought up the issue with someone." [Gallery]
