The Jerusalem District Attorney's Office filed an indictment with the city's District Court today (Thursday) for aggravated murder against a 27-year-old defendant who murdered his five-year-old nephew in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem, on Saturday about three weeks ago.

According to the indictment, on Saturday morning, August 13, 22, after his 5-year-old nephew entered the defendant's room, the defendant decided to cause his death.

The indictment states that the defendant choked the child until he lost consciousness.

At a certain point, the child's parents, grandparents, and grandparents began searching for him throughout the house, until they found him without a pulse and not breathing in the defendant's room, which was locked.

The prosecution requested that the defendant be detained until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
