
Baruch Glock, 20, a Satmar Hasid, was moderately injured in the shooting attack two weeks ago on Ma'ale Hashalom in the Old City - and is being treated at Hadassah. Baruch is a Brooklyn resident who came to visit Israel during the "interim" period, while his family was preparing for his wedding.

Baruch was shot in the neck and hand and was taken to Hadassah. Since then, he has been treated by a multidisciplinary team of trauma and emergency medicine specialists at Hadassah Mount Scopus and Ein Kerem, surgeons, operating room staff, plastic surgery, neurosurgery, occupational therapy and physiotherapy, orthopedists, anesthesiologists and intensive care specialists, an angiography, EEG, and hand surgery team, and the social service that accompanied them the entire time.
His 18-year-old sister, who was with him on the floor of the bus during the attack and escaped any harm, and his mother, Gitti, have not left his bed for the past two weeks.
Upon his release, after undergoing surgery on his hand and neck, his mother Giti said: "The treatment here at Hadassah was above and beyond and I thank the entire medical team. The ambulance is taking us to the airport, where he will meet his father, who was also injured, and both will be hospitalized together in a New York hospital to continue the recovery process.".

The head of the trauma unit at Hadassah Ein Kerem, Dr. Miklos Bala, summarized Baruch's treatment: "Baruch's neck injury combined vascular damage with bone, vertebral and nerve damage, in addition to a hand injury that could have affected him in the long term.
