The arranger Achia Asher Cohen Aluro, singer Yonatan Dror and producer Itay Tzur are launching their first single: "El Nura Alila", from the project "Towards a Lockdown" - the performance album released ahead of the project's appearance at the Yellow Submarine in Jerusalem, and the Suzanne Dellal Center in Tel Aviv between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
The joint performance by the bard Roni Ish-Ran and singer Yonatan Dror expresses the atmosphere of the project "Towards a Lockdown", in which the traditional and the contemporary, the Eastern and the Western, meet, a special musical experience in preparation for Yom Kippur, combining the old and the new, between traditional piyyut melodies and new prayer songs, between ancient melodies and contemporary arrangements.
The special and exciting atmosphere that characterizes the performance occurs thanks to the interaction between the ensemble of artists on stage and the audience's participation in the singing, with the lyrics of the piyyutim being projected on a screen, so that even those who have not been exposed to the tradition of slichot until now are invited to join.
