The vessel was on its way to Tel Aviv with 3 adults and 5 children on board. Following an engine malfunction, the vessel began to drift in high waves with strong winds, unable to navigate. A team of unit police officers who began searching located the vessel, which had drifted into the depths of the sea near Palmahim Beach. The vessel was boarded and its passengers were rescued and transferred to the maritime police boat. The five children and one of the adults, who did not feel well, were transferred to the Tel Aviv marina for medical treatment.
