The Khan al-Ahmar affair, an illegal Palestinian outpost, has preoccupied the state for over a decade. In the last hearing of the Regavim movement's petition against the state, which took place in the High Court of Justice in March, the state was required to answer why it is not enforcing the demolition orders it issued, despite its commitment to the court to implement the orders issued in a previous petition on the matter. It's worth eating healthy: healthy recipes for snacks and family meals In response, the state requested an additional extension, claiming that the prime minister was required to attend to the matter, but he was preoccupied with global issues, including the war in Ukraine. The High Court accepted the request and set an additional 120 days, which will expire in the coming weeks. Today, at the Haaretz Conference, Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz said frankly: "There is a High Court that allows the evacuation of Khan al-Ahmar, and Bennett has always said that Khan al-Ahmar should be evacuated. Here he is prime minister and he is not evacuating. Why? Because he is in a government in which he cannot do whatever he wants." Naomi Kahn from the Regavim movement: "The state simply lied to the court. The claim that they need more time because of the situation in Europe turned out to be a lie, and MK Horowitz revealed the truth - Khan al-Ahmar is not being evacuated because the coalition does not allow it." She added: "It is not for nothing that the Palestinian Authority and the European Union are preventing the residents of Khan al-Ahmar from establishing a normal and safe life in a permanent settlement. They are using them as a tool to seize critical strategic territory and laughing at the State of Israel in the face the whole way.""
