The children of the Farah Special Education Network's rehabilitation school in Elad celebrated Shavuot with a unique and exciting party.
The dedicated staff at the school surprised the students and prepared throughout the week for a visit to the 'Oud Yosef Chai' synagogue, which is adjacent to the school and accessible to people with disabilities.
The visit was accompanied by many staff members who helped move the special wheelchairs and walkers.
The students prayed the morning prayer in the synagogue, using the symbols familiar to them, and then each student, with the help of the staff, went up to the open Ark of the Covenant, kissed the Torah scroll, and prayed.
The excitement was great and the sacred and festive atmosphere left not a dry eye.
At the end of the day, the children received a set for the holiday table, which the educational staff assembled at the student's request using a gaze-focusing system, and a special picture with a Torah scroll as a souvenir.
