
President of the State Yitzhak Herzog and his wife Michal paid a visit to Beit Shemesh today (Tuesday).
The President and his wife toured an archaeological excavation site at Tel Beit Shemesh, which belongs to the Israel Antiquities Authority, where they saw excavations and ancient finds.
Afterwards, they continued with the groundbreaking ceremony for a new building for the AMIT Noga College, which is currently under construction.
They then visited the Haredi state school in Beit Shemesh, "Netzah Israel," where they were welcomed by the school's student choir with the song "All Israel Brothers." The President and his wife joined a first-grade class on the subject of space and science.
The president delivered uplifting remarks at the Torah study visit - he said: "I was privileged to meet Rabbi Elyashiv in my life. I felt like I was standing in front of Mount Everest.".
