How much we missed the hits: On the eve of Lag BaOmer 5882, Benny Friedman releases a new, upbeat and happy hit - "Yama".
""In the song Yama we see the love that God has for the people of Israel," explains Benny. "God gave us the land as a gift. Everyone knows the first Rashi in the Torah, which includes a question and answer that are the foundation of our lives in the Land of Israel: 'Why did He open the Torah with a covenant... in heaven and on earth...' just so that we would know that the entire world belongs to Him. And when He gave the land to the people of Israel, then the right was in His hands, and so He did, giving the land He loves - to us! Therefore, every inch of the Land of Israel belongs to the people of Israel who received it as a gift.".
Benny Friedman's new song "Yama" is happy, upbeat and energetic, just like Benny. As is tradition, it is important for Benny to evoke "Gaon Yaakov", and he wants the song to evoke a feeling of pride in the Land of Israel, with the love of God, along with the love of the Land of Israel.
""There is no specific time to thank God for the Land of Israel," he explains. "Every day we thank Him anew, especially in these days when some still wonder if the Land of Israel belongs to us. This is another reason to sing and connect and shout in a clear and loud voice that the Land of Israel belongs to us! From the east and west to the north and south.".
