According to a quote from Reuters, Lavrov said that he believed "that Hitler also had Jewish blood." Lavrov noted that "Zelensky can promote peace if he stops giving criminal orders to his Nazi forces." He accused Ukraine of attacking the separatist region of Donbas, calling it "terrorism against the civilian population." He emphasized: "We only want to ensure the security of pro-Russian Ukrainians in the east." The Russian Foreign Minister also noted that a large number of mercenaries are operating in western Ukraine, without providing evidence for his statements. He claims that Western media outlets are conveying misleading messages to the public regarding Russian threats, and that Russia has never stopped efforts to sign an agreement that would prevent nuclear war. According to him, Russia has developed hypersonic weapons only as a counterattack against a possible attack from the West.
