Later, more alarms sounded.

Shortly before, the IDF announced that it had attacked an underground structure for the production of rocket engines belonging to the Hamas terrorist organization last night. Among other things, a military post was attacked and a terror tunnel was opened leading to the underground structure, which contained chemical raw materials used to produce rocket engines.

""The attack will lead to real damage to the rocket production process in the Gaza Strip," said the IDF spokesman. "The attack was carried out in response to a launch from the Gaza Strip towards the State of Israel earlier this evening. The Hamas terrorist organization is responsible for what is happening in the Gaza Strip.".

Hamas' radio station reported that a surface-to-air missile was fired at the IAF planes that attacked the Strip, and also that machine gun fire from Gaza was fired at the settlements in the encirclement.

Earlier this evening, a red alert was activated in the city of Sderot and in the communities of Ivim and Nir Am in the Sha'ar Hanegev Regional Council.

Terrorists from the Gaza Strip launched one rocket, fragments of which hit a house yard and a car in Sderot. A fire broke out at the scene.

The police announced that saboteurs were called to remove a "rocket item" from the yard of a house in the city of Sderot.

A 69-year-old anxiety victim was treated by rescue forces and taken to Barzilai Hospital.
