Photo: Police Spokesperson Jerusalem District Commander Superintendent Doron Turgeman, who is in charge of police preparedness, said at the end of the assessment of the situation that took place this afternoon: "While we are working to allow the public to reach the holy places and celebrate the holidays, there are violent lawbreakers who disrupt the order and try to harm police officers and citizens from within the holy places. "Part of this riot took place from inside a mosque and those lawbreakers are primarily harming a large group of worshippers who are coming to the Temple Mount. As last Friday, this morning, the same lawbreakers caused damage to the mosque from inside while shooting fireworks from it. "We have acted and will continue to act to allow visits to the place while maintaining public order and freedom of worship. At the same time, we will act with determination and zero tolerance against lawbreakers and lawbreakers who try to harm citizens or police officers in the holy places and anywhere else.".
