During the Holy Sabbath night, in a conversation with his family, the Rebbe of Vizhnitz sailed through ancient memories of the Grach zt"l, "who more than a thousand years ago already knew about this righteous man whose feet are on the ground and whose head reaches to heaven.".

The Rebbe said that Maran the Grach, zt"l, who did not even know the names of the city streets closest to his home, was immersed in work and Torah all his life, diligent and toiled, and no secret of his craft escaped him.

""There was a story," the Rebbe added to the book, "about the Rebbe author of 'HaTorat Mordechai' of Vyshnytsz Mansi zt"l who for a long time wanted to know about a certain scripture where it is written. One of his associates asked the Rabbi Kanievsky, who immediately, without blinking, answered him with 'The author of Parashat Gadol in the aforementioned place.'".

""Remember me," the Rebbe continued, "for a certain period of time I lived on Rashbam Street in the city and I was privileged to see him sitting on the balcony of his house for long hours, devouring books with immense diligence.".

The Rebbe continued with Hod's memoirs for a long time.

At the third meal, in Torah readings before the thousands who packed the Beit Midrash hall, the Rebbe dedicated words to the memory of Maran zt"l, who had a pure memory and a vast connection to the House of Vizhnitz, dating back to the house of his father, the eminent Baal Steifler zt"l, who was known for his friendly ties to the Hasidic Rebbes.

It is also known that they would visit the cleansing mikveh of Vizhnitz every day and every Shabbat on Shabbat, as was the custom of the first Hasidim.

The Rebbe elaborated on his pure memory, and in conclusion, he ordered all yeshiva students and all Hasidic elders from all over the country to come and participate in the funeral procession to pay their last respects.
