The release of Torah scrolls follows the Russian advance towards Kyiv and the bombings in recent days in the capital.
Many bombs explode on residential buildings and educational institutions, and the fear is that the synagogue may be damaged.
The abandonment of the residents also increased the fear of acts of looting and theft.
In recent days, Rabbi Esman from the Chabad village of Entebbe has operated a huge hospitality and rescue operation, during which he ensured the full accommodation of thousands of Jewish refugees who fled their homes.
He also operated private rescue flights and secure convoys that took thousands out of Ukraine's borders to Israel and other countries.
Rabbi Assman himself stated in the media that he would be the last Jew to leave Ukraine.
""I will not leave Ukraine and I will not leave the Jews alone. They need me. People are hungry for bread, the elderly have no medicine, and the children are in distress.".
Today, 8 secured buses are expected to leave Kiev towards the border with Poland and Moldova, loaded with Jewish families living in Ukraine. "Pray for us that we will not be harmed. Pray for all the Jews of Ukraine who are in trouble," asks Rabbi Assman.
