Dubi Soifer, an ultra-Orthodox businessman, started his trip to the ECAP Health Conference in Miami on the right foot. But then an unfortunate event occurred - which quickly turned into an inspiring one.

The method that swept the world to quit smoking is reaching the ultra-Orthodox sector. What's the magic?

According to a report on the website theyeshivaworld, Soifer, the owner of a business that sells restaurant equipment, was on his way to enter the conference - a unique event attended by business people, brokers, bankers and executives with the aim of making new business connections - when he was attacked by two vicious Rottweilers.

The dogs attacked Soifer, knocked him to the ground and began biting and scratching him, leaving cuts and bruises on his arms and elbows.

The dogs' owner worked desperately to pull them away from the victim, and was eventually able to get them away and incarcerated.

The embarrassed dog owner apologized profusely and gave Mr. Soifer his cell phone number in case he needed to contact him later.

A woman at the hotel who saw what happened called the police. The officers told Soifer that if he filed a complaint, the dogs might be killed.

Following this, the dog's owner arrived in shock and begged Soifer not to file a report. He said that he had just lost another dog to illness and did not want to lose his other dogs.

He added that he was Jewish, his parents were originally from Poland, and offered to help the victim pay the medical bills for his injuries.

But instead of taking money or other offers from the dog's owner, Soifer made a simple request of the man: to put on tefillin.

He told the dog's owner that he could see how broken he was from the incident and explained how putting on tefillin would make him feel better.

The sobbing man did just that.

He put on tefillin for the first time in his life and recited "Shema Yisrael" with his new friend.
