About a year ago I had the privilege of meeting a dear Jew named Israel Stern. I immediately noticed that Israel is a person who stutters, and you need to give him his time, at ease, when he wants to talk.

""I wish more people knew how to make me feel as good as you do when I talk to you," he told me.

Explain to me what you mean? I asked gently.

""Many people don't know how to deal with a person who stutters. It's not out of malice, but out of lack of understanding or embarrassment. I know that sometimes it's hard to understand what I'm saying and it takes a little effort to understand. People transmit pressure when they listen to me, and this causes the person who stutters to feel more pressure and the stuttering worsens," Israel replied painfully.

"I ask you, Amiran, to be my mouth and the mouth of the people who stutter... to be our throat to express the pain. We have a simple request, listen to us patiently," Israel added.

Israel's stories, as the coordinator of the Haredi branch of Embi, about the suffering and difficulty of people who stutter, touched my heart deeply, and I decided to be the voice of Israel and the people who stutter.

In this song - "Who's Here?", I try to convey Israel's request through my throat and tongue, hoping that the song will affect as many people as possible.

Amiran Dvir.

""I am not a man of words, but I am of a slow mouth and of a slow tongue. And the Lord said, Who shall put a mouth in man, that I may be with thy mouth?" (Exodus 4:10)
