According to Sharon Wechsler's forecast on Kan News, this is expected to be a short system, with snow falling on Mount Hermon and the Golan Heights starting Wednesday morning. In the afternoon, the snow will gradually begin to fall in the Galilee and the central mountains, including Jerusalem - and is expected to pile up on the ground.

In the second half of the day, the winds will strengthen and will weaken only on Thursday morning. There is a risk of flooding along the coastal plain. The rain and snow will weaken and diminish in the second half of the night.

Today, the rain returns to the north and will gradually spread to the center of the country. On Monday morning, light snow is possible in the Golan Heights and the northern mountains, and then there will be a brief respite in precipitation, and even a slight increase in temperatures on Tuesday.

Wednesday, as mentioned, will again be particularly wintry, with a risk of flooding in the coastal plain and a chance of snow in the central mountains.

A temporary break in the rain is expected on Tuesday, and temperatures will rise slightly. Rain will resume in the north of the country at night.

Wednesday will be rainy and stormy. Heavy rain will fall in the north and center of the country, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. There is a risk of flooding and inundation in the coastal plain, the lowlands and the streams. There will be a strong wind in the Negev and there may be sandstorms. From the afternoon, the rain will also spread to the Negev and there is a risk of flooding.

Snow will fall on Mount Hermon and the northern Golan Heights. In the afternoon, extremely cold air will enter the country, and snow will begin to fall in the Galilee Mountains. In the evening, the snow is also expected to spread to the central mountains that are over 700 meters high, including Jerusalem.

On Thursday, the rains will weaken slightly but will continue to fall from the north of the country to the Negev. In the morning, snow is still possible on the mountain peaks of the north and center.

The maximum temperatures expected today: in Jerusalem up to 10 degrees, in Tel Aviv up to 15, in Haifa up to 12, in Safed up to 7, in Beer Sheva up to 14, and in Eilat up to 20 degrees.
