Yesterday (Sunday), the police arrested Mordechai Cohen Hadad, 22, from the Neve Yaakov neighborhood in Jerusalem, for questioning on suspicion of committing serious crimes against minors.
The investigation into the case began when the police received a complaint several weeks ago from the mother of an 11-year-old boy from Jerusalem, alleging that a family acquaintance had committed serious acts against the child.
During the investigation, suspicion arose that serious crimes had been committed against additional victims.
Investigators from the Jerusalem District Judicial Station arrested the suspect in the act for questioning.
Today the court allowed the suspect's name to be published.
This morning, the suspect's detention at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court was extended until December 16th for the purpose of continuing the investigation.
""The police call on anyone who has fallen victim to the suspect's actions to immediately go to the police station to file a complaint or report it as soon as possible to hotline 105," the police statement said.
