""In recent days, we have witnessed a very severe wave of illness that is hitting across Europe, and we are also seeing a certain increase in the infection rate here, in Israel. Winter is beginning, and we are at the beginning of what appears to be a wave of illness in children.".

Bennett added, "Fortunately, we kept our finger on the pulse even when the trend was positive, and therefore we are prepared. In recent days, many vaccines for children have landed in Israel, in preparation for the children's vaccination campaign that will begin this week. These are special vaccines for children, they are adapted, they contain a third of the amount of adult vaccines. The vaccines are safe and effective for maintaining the health of our children.".

""As I said - my son, David, will be among the first to be vaccinated, and that is what I expect all Israeli parents to do, certainly government ministers who have children or grandchildren of the relevant age.".

The Prime Minister stated that "given the current situation, no further easing is expected within Israel at this stage. Israel is open and safe, and we will work to ensure that it remains so.".

Ministry of Health Director General Professor Nachman Ash said in an interview with Channel 13, "This increase is disturbing. Especially if it continues and if the infection rate rises beyond 1.1. This is a point that symbolizes the development of the disease.".

However, Professor Ash reassures and clarifies that no restrictions are currently planned, as long as the infection rate remains relatively low. "We will sit down and think about whether anything needs to be changed regarding Hanukkah," he explains. "If the infection rate remains around 1, I don't see that we will need to take any steps.".

The Director General of the Ministry of Health said that children's vaccinations will begin this coming Tuesday and that there will be efforts to convince parents without pressure, but rather by making information accessible and transparent. According to him, "We are not pressuring, it is important to us that parents make a personal decision in consultation with the doctor - but it is very important to get vaccinated.".
