The Central Command, Southern Command, and Home Front Command headquarters, the General Staff wings, the land, air, and sea arms will take part in the exercise, and it will be conducted with the participation of thousands of reservists. Throughout the exercise, the Operations Wing will lead the operational planning processes and provide the Chief of Staff with a comprehensive picture of the situation in the entire war theater.

The objectives of the exercise are to improve the readiness of IDF forces for multi-scene combat, practicing the Southern Command's operational plan for Gaza based on conclusions from the learning and optimization processes carried out after Operation "Guardian of the Walls" while focusing on fire plans and maneuver concepts.
At the same time, the forces will practice dealing with a number of scenarios in the Central Command arena, as well as with internal security events.

As part of the home front defense exercise, several models for making information accessible to the civilian space will be practiced: On Monday, a digital space isolation model will be practiced, in which alerts about potential threats in the area surrounding Gaza will be distributed, and on Tuesday afternoon, a model for distributing 'life-saving instructions' on Home Front Command platforms will be practiced, in which alerts, including life-saving instructions, will be distributed via the Home Front Command app.

The IDF emphasizes that the exercise was planned in advance as part of the training program for 2021.
