Coalition Chairwoman MK Idit Silman testified today (Thursday) before Central Intelligence Agency investigators, following up on her complaint that she was attacked at a gas station in Modi'in. This was reported on Channel 12.

According to the report, investigators arrived at the coalition chairman's home and collected testimony from her.

Silman told investigators that a man pushed her toward her car, showed investigators a series of harsh statements against her - and claimed threats were made against her.

At the end of her testimony, it was decided to turn the investigation that began the day before yesterday into an official investigation. For now, there are no suspects in the act.

Earlier this week, Silman met with the Knesset Director General and the Deputy Commander of the Guard and handed them a series of complaints regarding harassment against her, along with screenshots of text messages sent to her recently, and she referred to events that occurred in October and at the end of September.

Following this, the Knesset officer filed a complaint with the police about the attack on Silman at the gas station, and forwarded the materials that came to him from the coalition chairman's office.

Last Saturday night, the coalition chairwoman said in an interview she gave to Channel 12 that she was attacked at a gas station.

In an interview broadcast on the program 'Meet the Press', she said: "Two weeks ago I had a one-time incident, where a man slammed me into a car. He caught me after I had filled up at a gas station in Modi'in, and physically slammed me into a car.".

She added: “I realized how dangerous words can be. At that moment I realized that I was putting everything aside and that we were passing a budget.”.

Opposition Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu commented on her statement on Monday, at a faction meeting: ”Here comes the coalition chairman and tells a story that very likely never existed and was not created with the aim of discrediting an entire public.

”"Then Mrs. Silman will either have the honor and provide evidence of the event she described, or she will immediately apologize to the two million citizens of Israel from the national camp whom she defamed.".
