Media personality Shimon Riklin will marry his partner of the past year and a half, Globes newspaper publisher Alona Bar-On, tomorrow (Thursday) in front of the walls of the Old City in Jerusalem.

The wedding will be held in a small ceremony with the participation of family members and close friends.

About six months ago, it was announced that Riklin and Bar-On had secretly married, but the two denied the news.
Three weeks ago, Riklin announced that he was taking a "time-out" and would temporarily stop presenting his daily program "Riklin & Co." on Channel 20.
On his Twitter account, Riklin wrote: "Sometimes a person needs to take a break and observe, and check whether what he is doing is right for him and constitutes meaningful work for him. Therefore, I am taking a vacation from my show and from the media in general.".
He added: “Here too, I will try to reduce my presence and deal with other issues. Thank you to Channel 20 for everything and to all my dear viewers. ‘For the path is wiser than the one who walks it.’ See you in the celebrations.”.
Riklin did not explain what caused him to take a leave of absence from the media, nor did he specify when he intended to return.
