Another suspect involved in the kidnapping and murder of the late Nissim Sheetrit in 1986 has confessed to the crimes - and linked himself to the disappearance of the 17-year-old boy, whose body has not been found to this day.

According to a report by Yossi Eli on Channel 13, the suspect said that he was the driver of the group that kidnapped the late Sheetrit and disappeared him, apparently in one of the forests located near Jerusalem.

This testimony is added to the confession of another suspect, who already last week gave a detailed account of what happened and incriminated three of his friends, including the son of a former senior minister.

The Jerusalem Metropolitan Police Department expects that the solution to the mystery, in which Rabbi Eliezer Berland was arrested while in prison, is getting closer.

According to a report in Kan News, the police announced in court today that they are rapidly moving forward with the evidentiary basis for an indictment in the case.

Three weeks ago, the police began a wave of arrests of suspects who were previously associated with the Shuvo Banim community, on suspicion of involvement in the murders and disappearances of Nissim Sheetrit and the late Avi Edri in 1986 and 1990.

Later, Rabbi Berland himself was also arrested and linked himself to the suspicions against him.

Last Thursday, it was reported in 'Kan News' that the suspect who confessed to investigators about his part and incriminated three other suspects, recreated the kidnapping from the apartment to which the late Sheetrit was lured by one of the suspects - who was called 'the girl of the temptation of Shuvo Banim' - to the forest where he was murdered and buried.

The investigators also brought Rabbi Berland together with the Hasid who confessed, in order to obtain additional details from the incident - primarily the boy's burial place.
