MK Shirley Pinto from the right spoke this morning (Monday) with Golan Yochpaz and Anat Davidov on 103FM and addressed her statement last night that her party member, Amichai Shikli, is a "virus" in the Knesset.

""Amichai Shikli is like a bug in the political system, he attacks the system from within, and not only the system, he also attacks Yamina. He does not do any parliamentary work, he does not represent any public," she explained.

She added: "It's like a virus that attacked the computer. I didn't say a virus as a bacterium, here I'm explaining, a virus as it attacks the computer. I explained that it attacks the system from within, doesn't bring parliamentary action, doesn't do anything. The explanation I'm giving now is because people are blowing things out of proportion.".

She emphasized: "I see no reason to apologize to Shikley. I think he is behaving improperly and should be declared retired from the moment he voted against the government.".

This is not the first storm that Pinto has stirred up recently. About a month ago, she caused a stir after she tweeted harsh criticism of opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu on her Twitter account, in the shadow of Rabin's assassination memorial day, and accused him of incitement.

The MK explained these things: "I did not speak out against the right, I am a full-fledged right-wing woman and those who don't know me - let them know. I deleted the tweet because I realized that as a deaf woman, I was not exposed to the narrative behind the word 'balcony.'".

""There are cultural gaps here - this expression did not reach the deaf community. I knew that the right was being accused of the murder of Rabin and I was completely opposed to that, but I did not know that the word 'balcony' was controversial. I was young at the time, today I am 33 - I understood the mistake, it is not shameful, you learn from mistakes," she explained.

Continuing her remarks, Pinto referred to the alleged attack at the gas station on coalition chairwoman Idit Silman: "She does a lot for the coalition, for the citizens of the State of Israel, she works hours upon hours, crazy days in which she is exposed to attacks - I wouldn't be surprised if, God forbid, it came to something physical.".

""Things like this cross the line, and I believe there is no reason for her not to tell the truth. I know she is being threatened, but it's not just her - all members of the Yamina party receive threats on a daily basis, including me. I received messages telling me that I am a stupid cripple, that it is a shame that I am here, that I should burn myself. And the line is still long, but what can I do? I continue to represent the public with my truth, and promote people with disabilities. That is my job," she concluded.
