The campers escaped and were not injured.
The CEO of the Pre-Military Preparatory Schools Council, Danny Zamir, said: "All they wanted was to get from their homes to the preparatory school where they study. It is impossible for preparatory school students in mixed cities and in general not to feel safe walking the streets. We call on the Israel Police to act immediately and decisively in order to restore security to the preparatory school students and administrators.".
The police announced that they opened an investigation last night into the attack. According to the police, an initial investigation indicates that an argument broke out between the students and a number of minorities, during which two students from the preparatory school were attacked - although the two were not injured.
The Acre police station officers who arrived at the scene began investigating the circumstances of the incident.
The identities of the suspects are known and they will be arrested later.
""The Israel Police view the incident seriously and will use the variety of means at its disposal to bring those involved to justice," the police statement said.
