Shira and Amichai Ish Ran, who were injured in a shooting attack at the Ofra Junction two and a half years ago, today (Monday) introduced their son to the covenant of Abraham our father.

Shira, 23, was seriously injured in the attack by the terrorist's gunfire, and was forced to undergo a cesarean section while she was seven months pregnant. The baby did not survive and was pronounced dead three days later. After being given the name Amiad Israel, he was brought to be buried on the Mount of Olives.

The fetus in Shira's womb underwent emergency surgery, but died three days later. Shira and Amichai have now sent me this photo, with the following request:

In the moving ceremony, which was broadcast live to thousands of viewers, the baby's name was announced in Israel - Elia Roi Ish-Ran.
